recyclable knights
The new craze at our house involves the imaginative game of "saving the princess." The boys each pull down a recycling box, find armor (boxes), helmets (used lamp shades), and swords (paper towel rolls) and rescue their princess (that would be me). I will say that I am proud to be the lovely princess instead of the great dragon or monster of the day that they are attempting to defeat.
Oliver is never quite sure of what to think about his brothers' actions. He spends his time watching for the exact moment when they get caught up in their knightly roles and drop their favorite toy, which is usually their spider-man figure. He runs off with this treasure proud of his ability to walk over and grab it but not quite fast enough to keep it from his brothers for long.
