frisky kids
With all of the heavy issues weighing down on our immediate and extended family, it has been difficult to notice the little, comical things that my children do that so often fill this site. Maybe I will write about some of these issues and whatever we as a family are supposed to be learning from all that is going on; but until that time, here is some more of the funny stuff...At least I think that it is funny:
After going to the mom's bible study this morning the boys and I decided to keep walking past our house, visit Daddy at work, and enjoy the great weather brought on by the changing season. We ended up walking past the small shops in St. Elmo enjoying conversation with a few familiar faces along the way. While stopping to look at the window displays of a new, local shop Aidan spotted a mannequin with bright, green hair displaying some retro garb from the store. Both Aidan and Abel were a bit unsure whether the dummy was a real woman or just a display. Aidan decided that he should lift up her skirt just to check. Abel proceed to follow his brother's lead and stuck his head under her skirt as well. They had not come to a conclusion about the mannequin before I introduced them to a friend that I had been talking to. Both boys, now completely confused, looked up to the mannequin only to see my friend's thoroughly amused face peering over the dummy's shoulder. I guess I should be a bit concerned about their lack of hesitation before getting frisky with the dummy...just one more area to add to my long, long list of things to work on with my growing boys.
