"GROSS! SWEET! SICK!" and talk of sharing "best secrets"...
we have officially entered a new stage with our oldest boy and his good friends. oh my. so funny and yet so intimidating. today, aidan and his friend made their own arrangements for a play date (is it even still called that when you have a 7 year old?). they are now leafing through a book containing all of the pertinent info on the ghostbusters and writing their own books on the topic--all while stopping to comment on the slime shown on every other page with an enthusiastic, "GROSS!"
his friend is also filling his book with secrets...many dealing with girls. aidan just doesn't get it yet. thank goodness!

I'd love to get a sneak peak into what kind stories they tell in their books! Its great that Aidan and his friend are so creative together.
By the way, Caleb has not stopped talking about the presents Aidan gave him last night. (he wanted to nap with them both this afternoon, but I couldn't find them at the moment) We talked together last night at bedtime about what our favorite thing of the day was, Caleb's was an enthusiastic "My friends came over and Aidan gave me Christmas presents!" (with a huge grin on his face) I don't think Aidan could have delighted Caleb's little heart anymore if he tried! So thanks for being a sweatheart Aidan.

Oh my goodness! Girls! That's wild. My dad used to say that he ALWAYS was interested in girls as early as he can remember.
That's funny about GhostBusters, whatta cheesy movie!
I need to get something to you before we leave K?

okay, i have been informed by my husband that this is now called "hangout time". i think this is great! aidan is really growing up....how exciting....ghostbusters? blast from the past..we own the movie if they want to borrow it. haha! sounds like fun around the cooley house....hope you guys have a merry christmas!
