the mohawk whale
beware of the mohawk whale:
yesterday, aidan and i were looking over some shape review worksheets when the directions called for him to point out the first shape in a sequence, name it, and find a matching shape within the same row. after reading the directions, i asked aidan to name the first shape. he thought for a moment and responded, "mmm...FIDO!"
thank you for all of your kind responses to my school blurb. i cannot say that i am resting in the decision that we are leaning toward. hopefully, that will come soon enough. noel and bevin, i laughed out loud at your comments. you both are so funny. i miss you...

school dilemma
So, here we are moving our way through 2006 knowing that our oldest is to start some sort of schooling this Fall. I know so many that have recently moved through all of the options weighing the positive and negative aspects of each while attempting to hold their own child's needs before them. I never quite understood the magnitude of this school dilemma despite my efforts to be sympathetic. I am here, though, attempting to put my own social struggles in school behind me and terrified of making a wrong decision. Our options as of today are some sort of homeschooling and a local magnet school. If you have any opinions to share, I would be glad to hear them....
