bribery

after becoming convinced that i must venture to that super savin' dreaded place with the kids, alone, in the middle of the day, i decided to take them to visit ronald and friends for some not-so-nutritious foods but plenty of kid fun. i suppose the promise of a few fries and nuggets was the bribe for being good while i grabbed a few bags of topsoil and storage containers for the mounds of winter clothes breeding upstairs. mark told the boys that if they wanted to go to mcdonald's, they must promise to be good and also offer over their first born child. aidan immediately said, "sure, dad." whatever would get him that happy meal was what he planned to do. abel also seemed in agreement as he said, "okay, dad! my first special chinamen!" i am not sure if this will seem as funny written down, but mark and i were quite amused. most of the funny phrases that come from abel are either mispronouncing various words or completely misunderstanding what we are trying to say to him...
