what to say...

so, i read other mom's blogs almost daily interested in all of the fun, crafty ideas they have prepared for their family for this festive time of year. somehow i just run dry on ideas of my own. granted, our family has gone through an incredibly difficult month filled with emotional, physical, and financial struggles that seem to take away from the wonder of the season. having little ones that adore each decoration that i place in our home does help, though. they beam with pride at the sight of their own stocking (with all three guys now able to recognize their own name across the top) and were such a help when it came to choosing the perfect tree and beautifully adorning each branch. having children does add merriment into these weeks that might otherwise be quite difficult to move through.

all of that aside, we had much to celebrate in the month of november as our oldest boy turned six! six. i cannot believe that i have a six year old, and it is often apparent that i am not always sure what to do with this growing boy.

right after thanksgiving, we enjoyed watching the kids run through a local tree farm with good friends in search of the perfect christmas tree. after a long search, a near perfect tree was found and cut down.

back to the cool mom blogs with helpful links---i came across the kiddley site a few weeks ago and have been amazed by all of the fun ideas of projects to work on with your kids. enjoy!
